About the Method
The Pilates method was created by Joseph Pilates in the 20th century. It was designed to stretch, strengthen and balance both the body and mind to produce optimal health and performance. Today it is has become a widely popular complement for sports performance training and physical therapy rehabilitation. Some of the benefits include improved strength and flexibility on a muscular and mental level, increased lung capacity/circulation and improved posture and balance.
What to Expect
Each session is 55-minutes. My sessions are tailored to the individual, whether you are a beginner, recovering from an injury, advanced practitioner, high-level athlete, Soul-Cycle devotee, Crossfit athlete, or pre/post-natal. I believe Pilates is a great complement to your everyday activities and provides a foundation to build upon for functional movement patterns.
I am a classically trained instructor but utilize my physical therapy and movement background to accommodate your skill-level and needs. Your first session is an opportunity to get to know you and your fitness goals. We will develop a plan to get the most out of our sessions together.
